Dupuytren’s Contracture
Thickening of the palmar fascia, caused by a variety of conditions (hereditary, trauma, diabetes), but also associated with alcoholic liver disease.
Patient 1:
This patient has Dupuytren’s contracture.
Patient 2:
This patient has Dupuytren’s contracture related to underlying liver disease. Note the concurrent palmar erythema.
This patient also has a vigorous peripheral pulse.
