Delayed Relaxation Phase of Reflexes

Delayed relaxation phase of reflexes is a sign of hypothyroidism. Often better seen in the Achilles, particularly with the patient kneeling on a chair.

This patient has a delayed phase of the patellar tendon reflex related to hypothyroidism.
