Decreased intra-thoracic pressure on inspiration>>Rush of blood from high pressure to low pressure>>more blood in the right-side on inspiration>>Less space in the right side to accommodate the increased blood in cases of right heart disease with reduced compliance such as constrictive pericarditis>>Less space and more blood leads to backlog seen as raised JVP in neck on inspiration.
